KAMPALA, June 21 (Xinhua) -- The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has named a provisional squad ahead of the CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Newly appointed coaches of the team, Fred Muhumuza and Morley Byekwaso, on Saturday named a 41-man squad that is expected to start preparations on June 23.
Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania will co-host the Championship slated to run from August 2-30, which was originally meant to take place last year but was rescheduled to 2025.
The Uganda Cranes are placed in Group C alongside Niger, Guinea, South Africa and Algeria and will play their group matches at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala.
