The Canarinhos 4-3 victory was the final game of the tournament, which took place in Africa for the first time. It was played at Paradise Arena in front of a capacity crowd for a seventh consecutive night in the Seychelles.

Rodrigo scored his second goal of the match with 101 seconds remaining to lift head coach Marco Octvios to the title.

Lucao put Brazil in command, but Yauheni Novikau equalized. Benjinha then rattled the crossbar before Mikhail Avgustov pulled off a superb save to deny an acrobatic Rodrigo effort. The Brazilian striker did get the better of his marker at the start of the second period, however, and Catarino soon doubled the advantage with a spectacular goal.

Belarus looked down and out in the third period, but Ihar Bryshtsel scored twice to pull the side level. With only 101 seconds remaining, however, Rodrigos second of a thrilling contest won it for Marco Octvios side.

Earlier in the evening, Portugal twice overcame deficits to edge Senegal, 3-2, in the third-place berth.
