The Sharks have extended head coach Sean Everitt's contract to 2024, it was revealed on Tuesday.
Everitt took over from Robert du Preez in 2019 and oversaw the team's revival, especially in the curtailed 2020 Super Rugby season.
"We are delighted to announce that Sharks head coach Sean Everitt has put pen to paper on a contract extension that will run until 2024," Everitt's agency, International Player Management, said on their official Instagram page.
On Tuesday, the Sharks announced the blockbuster signing of Springbok World Cup-winning hooker Bongi Mbonambi from the Stormers, who will join the Durban outfit on 1 November.
The Sharks also recently extended contracts for promising youngsters Jaden Hendrikse (scrumhalf), hooker Fez Mbatha and loosehead prop Ntuthuko Mchunu to at least until 2023.
