BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- The Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina) reported robust growth in new contract value in 2020.
The total contract value of newly signed projects hit around 673.26 billion yuan (about 103.83 billion U.S. dollars) last year, soaring by 31.5 percent year on year, according to the company's statement filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
In breakdown, the contract value of newly signed domestic projects was about 471.66 billion yuan, up 29.79 percent year on year. That of overseas projects rose by 35.82 percent from a year earlier to around 201.61 billion yuan.
The company's combined contract value of newly signed water conservancy and electric power projects reached around 211.74 billion yuan in 2020.
PowerChina, a wholly state-owned company, is a leader in the clean and low-carbon energy, water resources, and environmental construction fields. It ranked 157th among Fortune Global 500 companies in 2020.
