RABAT, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Morocco announced on Friday 4,706 new COVID-19 cases, taking the tally in the North African country since March 2 to 316,260.
The number of recoveries from the coronavirus in Morocco increased to 262,212 after 4,220 more were added, while the death toll rose by 92 to 5,182, the ministry of health said in a statement.
Meanwhile, 1,047 patients are in intensive care units.
Casablanca remains the worst-hit region in the country with 1,738 newly confirmed cases and 33 deaths during the last 24 hours.
The COVID-19 fatality rate in Morocco stands at 1.6 percent while the recovery rate is 82.9 percent.
