NAVAL, Biliran, Aug. 7 (PIA) -- The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority - Cabucgayan National School of Arts and Trades (TESDA-CNSAT) is set to start classes on August 10 (tentative date) following the "new normal" as the nation shifts from the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In one of the PIA-Biliran's Pulong-Pulong Ng Bayan episode over Radyo Natin-Naval, Vocational School Administrator Lino Severino said the training school will only accept trainees aged 21 to 59 years old who are allowed to go out of residence as per mandate from the National COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force.

Only 25 trainees are accepted per course to maintain the required social distancing protocol.

The 25 trainees will then be divided into two groups to take turn in modular home learning and physical classroom presence for the duration of the training course, Severino said.

TESDA-CNSAT offers two scholarship benefits this year, one is the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA) with 25 course offerings, and the other one is the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) with six (6) course offerings.

Under the UAQTEA program, each scholar will avail of free tuition fee, free national assessment, free workshop uniform, P5,000 instructional materials allowance, P160 daily living allowance, P500 internet allowance, P500 personal protective equipment allowance, and accident insurance coverage.

Scholars under the TWSP program will avail of free tuition fee, free national assessment, P160 daily living allowance, P500 internet allowance, P500 personal protective equipment allowance, and accident insurance coverage, according to Severino.
